Backing Up Your Website using Akeeba

How to use the free version of Akeeba to backup your Joomla website and save a copy of your website on your local computer.

1. Akeeba

Login to the admin panel Components Akeeba Backup

2. Akeeba Admin Panel

Click Backup Now

3. Back Up

1. Add any notes if required
2. Click Backup

4. Backup Running

Leave this screen open whilst the process runs

5. Administrator the Backup

When the backup has finished this screen will appear Click Administer Files

6. Download the Backup

1. You will see a list of previous backups
2. Select he latest under the manage and download column, clicking here will start the download

Choose a place to save the backup on your local machine or network
